What is the cost of Fixle for my customers?

What is the difference between a Fixle Property Pro account, a Fixle Pro Inspect account and a Fixle Pro Repair account?

Fixle plans are designed around the unique needs of our customers.

Fixle Pro Inspect offers home inspectors the ability to create homes, add items and deliver the Fixle Home Report by sharing the home with clients. Fixle Pro Inspect users do not have ongoing access to the home after they share it with their clients. The Fixle Pro Inspect account charges a flat per property fee based on the number of properties created per month. Prices start at $9.95 per property and drop depending on volume.

Fixle Pro Repair is for service technicians who are looking for instant access to critical details regarding a particular system including notice of any possible recalls, manufacturer’s specs, warranty details and more. Fixle Pro Repair plans are billed per item per month.

Fixle Property Pro is designed for a property manager who requires regular access to the home account and do not require a Fixle Home Report for each property. Fixle Property Pro plans pay a per property per month fee.

Do I have to retype the inspection details to start using Fixle on my inspection?

No! Once you have arrived at your inspection, open your Fixle app and select “Use My Current Location”. The address of the property will populate in the app along with a picture of the property. Fixle pulls the property information from Google. You will find this functionality to be highly accurate, but there will be occasions where the home is not found and a nearby address pops up. Simply edit the address and you are ready to go.

Can I change the house picture?

Fixle will pull add an image of the property as part of the use my current location feature. You or your customer can easily upload a new picture and change the image displayed in Settings.

What are my options for adding appliances?

There are three options for adding items.

  1. Scan the Data Label
  2. Add a Picture of the Label
  3. Type in the Model Number and Serial Number

Most home inspectors use the Scan the Label feature first because of the ease. Fixle uses advanced technology to extract the Model Number and Serial Number from the data plate. Be sure to place both Model and Serial Numbers in the photo frame. Note, Fixle uses the most powerful photographic scanning technology to read data labels, but if you cannot get a clean scan of the data plate, or if the data plate is faded, or in an area with very low light, you may have to enter the model and serial number manually. In most cases, you will not have to do this.

Does Fixle find appliance manufacture dates?

Yes, for many appliances Fixle will either extract the information from the appliance data plate OR if there is no date, Fixle deciphers the date based on available information. When a manufacture has reused a Model or Serial Number on an appliance, multiple years will be listed in the manufacture date field. In these instances, you can select the correct manufacture date.

Did we get that right?

Fixle will always ask you if the data scanned is accurate. When multiple appliances are displayed after scanning a data plate, Fixle is finding similar items and confirming the correct item is selected. Appliance manufacturers use different model numbers for appliances that are primarily the same with only minor differences. To accommodate this, they may consider the model essentially the same, use the same manuals, specs, etc. but change the last two or three digits of the model number to differentiate color, finish, or retailer. If the information Fixle found does not match the label, you will edit and update the details of the appliance. Once you have successfully added an item that is found in the database, and confirmed the information is accurate, Fixle will instantly populate the appliance record with any known recalls, owner’s manual, product specifications, energy guides and warranty information where available. Your customers will be amazed!

What happens when the items are not found?

Fixle has one of the most robust data warehouses of appliance resources available, which is constantly growing. When an appliance you add to Fixle is not in our database, especially if the appliance is 20 or more years old Fixle will work to populate item details for you. Once you manually add the appliance Model and Serial Numbers a service ticket is immediately created and generally within 72 hours Fixle will find the appliance information, update our data warehouse and add item details and documents to that home’s account.

How do I share Fixle with my customer?

After you have added the major appliances of the home into Fixle you can share the app and further WOW your client and any real estate professionals in earshot. Simply select Share Home, enter your client’s name and email address and they will receive both an invite to download the app and their Fixle Home Report with links to manuals or other resources found for the items entered. Fixle will continue to monitor the items in the home’s account on an ongoing basis. Your clients can add an unlimited number of additional appliances to their app at no cost for 1 year.

Can I preview the Home Report before I send it?

The ability to preview the report before sending is coming soon. In the interim you can send the report to an email address you can access that is not used to log into your Fixle account.

Is Fixle integrated with inspection software like ISN, Spectora, HomeGauge, HIP, etc.?

No, Fixle is not yet integrated with third party software providers. However, with Fixle’s reliable “Use My Current Location” and advanced photographic scanning technology home inspectors can implement Fixle in their current workflow with ease.

Can I have a personal and professional account?

Yes. You can add your own home to your personal account at no charge for up to eight items. Your personal account will not allow you to share the home as that feature is only available on the professional account.
