Can I use FixlePro on some homes I inspect, but not every home?

You only pay for the properties you create in FixlePro or FixleFolio, so you have complete control.

What is the cost of FixleHome for my customers?

There is no cost to FixleHome for your clients - it's completely free though we may include some optional offers for paid products and services like home warranties provided by one of our partner organizations.

Do I have to retype the inspection details to start using FixlePro on my inspection?

No! Once you have arrived at your inspection, open your Fixle app and select “Use My Current Location”. The address of the property will populate in the app along with a picture of the property. Fixle pulls the property information from Google. You will find this functionality to be highly accurate, but there will be occasions where the home is not found and a nearby address pops up. Simply edit the address and you are ready to go.

Can I change the house picture?

Fixle will pull an image of the property as part of the use my current location feature. You or your customer can easily upload a new picture and change the image displayed in Settings.

What are my options for adding appliances?

There are three options for adding items.

  1. Scan the Data Label
  2. Add a Picture of the Label
  3. Type in the Model Number and Serial Number

Most home inspectors use the Scan the Label feature first because of the ease. Fixle uses advanced technology to extract the Model Number and Serial Number from the data plate. Be sure to place both Model and Serial Numbers in the photo frame. Note, Fixle uses the most powerful photographic scanning technology to read data labels, but if you cannot get a clean scan of the data plate, or if the data plate is faded, or in an area with very low light, you may have to enter the model and serial number manually. In most cases, you will not have to do this.

Does Fixle find appliance manufacture dates?

Yes, for many appliances Fixle will either extract the information from the appliance data plate OR if there is no date, Fixle deciphers the date based on available information. When a manufacturer has reused a Model or Serial Number on an appliance, multiple years will be listed in the manufacture date field. In these instances, you can select the correct manufacture date.

Did we get that right?

Fixle will always ask you if the data scanned is accurate. When multiple appliances are displayed after scanning a data plate, Fixle is finding similar items and confirming the correct item is selected. Appliance manufacturers use different model numbers for appliances that are primarily the same with only minor differences. To accommodate this, they may consider the model essentially the same, use the same manuals, specs, etc. but change the last two or three digits of the model number to differentiate color, finish, or retailer. If the information Fixle found does not match the label, you will edit and update the details of the appliance. Once you have successfully added an item that is found in the database, and confirmed the information is accurate, Fixle will instantly populate the appliance record with any known recalls, owner’s manual, product specifications, energy guides and warranty information where available. Your customers will be amazed!

Is Fixle integrated with inspection software like ISN, Spectora, HomeGauge, HIP, etc.?

We are in the process of forming partnerships with some of the largest players in the inspection software industry and will be updating you as soon as those integrations roll out.
