What information on the tag is most important?
Your appliances and major systems each have an Identification Tag/Label that notes the model and a serial number of that specific item. The model and serial number of an item can be used to locate the correct parts for your appliance, as well as identify if the manufacturer has issued any recalls. Model and serial numbers will most likely appear on a paper sticker or a metal plate on your item.
When taking a picture of your item’s Identification Tag/Label within the Fixle app, make sure to keep the serial and model number in the frame of the camera. The scan is looking for the words “model” and “serial” to accurately pull the information. The scan does NOT read barcodes or QR Codes.
