- On the left-hand side of the door or drawer.

You can find the model and serial numbers (M/N and S/N) for your furnace by removing the top-front service panel and looking to the left side of the interior cabinet or the top of the blower deck, depending on whether your system is an 80% or 90% AFUE unit. Also, the orientation (horizontal or vertical) and flow direction (down or up) of your furnace may impact the location of the information.

The model and serial number can be found on a metal tag that is located near the furnace’s blower. The tag will have both numbers listed on it. If you are having trouble locating the tag, we recommend using a flashlight to look for it. The serial number on a Goodman furnace is typically 10 characters long. The first four digits represent the year and month that the furnace was manufactured, and the last six digits are unique to each furnace.
